This eye-catching purple heart brooch was created in late 2022 and is now available to purchase online for the first time.

H. N. Y. - Happy New Year is one of a series of purple brooches made to celebrate 2023.

This elegant and simple heart brooch features a piece of aubergine glass at it's centre. There is a small crack in this glass, Andrew intentionally incorporates cracks into his work, believing that they bring his pieces good luck.

At the top of the heart are two purple jewels - on the left side a faceted purple crystal, and on the left a smooth glass oval bead which is set into piece of brass topped with tiny crystals. 

All of the pieces are set into black resin and finished with a sprinkling of purple and multicoloured glitter. As with all Andrew's brooches, this brooch is signed, dated and titled on the reverse.

This stunning and sparkling piece of wearable art measures just over 5 by 7 cm at its widest points and weighs 21 g.  It can be attached to a chosen garment using a safety pin embedded in the resin on the reverse.
